LIFE-ID Mobile App
LIFE-ID, a part of the ICEmedic program, provides its holder the ability to administer their emergency medical information (EMI) records in a centralized system. These records can be used by paramedics during an emergency. This page is meant as a guideline/manual during the usage of the LIFE-ID mobile app which is available on both App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
Sign In / Sign Up
After launching the LIFE-ID app on your mobile device, the sign in page is shown. Should you did not sign up for an account at icemedic.org yet, you can sign up by pressing on the sign up button and filling the requested data. Upon signing up, an activation code is sent to your given email. You can either fill the activation code or scan the qr-code received in the email using LIFE-ID and your account will be activated. Now you can sign in. Checking the remember me box, will set the app to store the credentials internally and you will be signed in automatically once the application is started in the future.
Navigation Tabs
Upon successful signing in, LIFE-ID presents a number of navigation tabs namely:
- Overview Tab
- Personal Tab
- Contact Tab
- Medical Tab
- Settings Tab
Selecting a tab will show the corresponding page. The default page is the overview page.
Overview Page
The overview page is the default page you see after signing in. This page shows all emergency alert codes related to the current member profile. An emergency alert code, is a unique code generated by ICEmedic portal and is used to allow authorized devices such as (ICE Medic) to retrieve the corresponding member profile dossiers. Emergency alert codes are presented in a qr-code format and can be printed using the LIFE-ID app or can be purchased from authorized resellers printed on plastic cards or tags in different shapes.
Next to its value, each emergency alert code entry offers three button options:
- Scan Logs: shows a scan log of all devices who scanned this emergency alert code.
- Print Code: shows the emergency alert code in qr-code format
- Delete Code: deletes the current code and unassign it from the member profile
Subscription
You can add/extend your ICEmedic program subscription using the "Add Subscription" button as well as purchasing a subscription code for the ICEmedic portal. Purchased subscription codes are issued instantly and send to your provided email.
You can add additional emergency alert codes to your profile using the "Add Id Code" button.
Member Dossier
The member dossier is made of a number of pages accessible using the navigation tabs, these pages are:
- Personal Page: for administering the member personal data including photo.
- Contact Page: for administering the member's primary and secondary contact (in case of an emergency), doctor, insurance and pharmacy details.
- Medical Page: for administering allergy, medical history,surgical history, current treatment, blood group and other relevant information needed by paramedics during an emergency.
Each set of data within the above pages is associated with given access rights. Currently, the system supports three types of access rights:
- Private: The data is accessible only by the member only.
- Paramedic: The data is accessible by the member app and can be read by the paramedic using an authorized ICE Medic app after scanning the assigned emergency alert code.
- Public: The data is accessible by the member and can be read by any qr-code reader app after scanning the assigned emergency alert code.
